Given “retro” 1960’s styling , when it reaches the UK it will only be available in ‘top specification’ because Chevrolet believe “this car will only appeal to collectors and enthusiasts”.
As well as a new body, the car comes with a 6.2 litre V8 engine that produces 426 bhp, meaning it can deal with 0-60 mph in under 5 seconds, and new fully independent suspension.
The car has been given its UK debut today at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, doing what American cars do best and burning its rear tires.
Prices are unknown at the moment, however several examples have been imported unofficially from the US by private companies since 2009, and these sell second-hand at £28, 000.
So far, 200, 000 have been sold in the US, but none have been officially sold by Chevrolet in the UK.
