Yes, the most popular Aston Martin ever has been given a facelift, and although there are questions as to whether it looks better than before, there are certainly no doubts that it still looks jaw-droppingly good.
It proclaims its beauty from every angle, but don’t forget it’s still an Aston.
It has the same 470 bhp V12 engine under the bonnet that will send it from 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 190 mph.
So with the engine the same, the only real changes are to the exterior. The lower intake ducts on the front fascia have been altered slightly to complement the famous Aston Martin air intake better, which has also been tweaked, along with the headlamp lenses, the rear lenses, which are clear as standard now like the DBS, and the side sill which has been given a “hockey stick like curve” according to Aston.
Oh and the other change is the price. You can pick up a used old DB9 for around £80, 000 or a new old one for £100, 000. For the privilege of driving the new new one, however, you will need £122, 445 for the coupé and £131, 445 for the Volanté soft top.
But who cares about the money. Unless you’re unemployed, running tight on cash, and called Mr G. Brown, buy this car. To wake up and see this every morning on your drive would make your life a million times better. Better do it quickly though because the waiting list is already growing.
